People understand and know that there exists a G-d who is a carrot and stick G-d, who does evil or good to human beings, depending on His grouse or pleasure or judgement. They fear this G-d and seek to appease his anger or win his pleasure. This has, ultimately, always been the understanding of every tribe and nation.
But this G-d has become obsolete.
We have now seen a different, new G-d, one who does ONLY GOOD. That is Yeshua the Moshiach. This G-d does not do evil to anyone. He even repays those who do evil with good and, better still, he turns evil into good. Is there any other such G-d?
You may ask then as to whether or not this G-d punishes those who do evil or act unjustly? What do you think? Evil people hurt and punish themselves and others. This G-d, Yeshua Adonai, is always working towards enabling and empowering evil people not to hurt or punish others and thus be conformed to His image. Evil people who respond to His love towards them find themselves becoming part of this new G-d, part of the New Humanity, the Next Humanity. And this process has been going on for 2000 years.
Acts 10: 36 “Here is the message that he sent to the sons of Isra’el announcing shalom through Yeshua the Messiah, who is Lord of everything. 37 You know what has been going on throughout Y’hudah, starting from the Galil after the immersion that Yochanan proclaimed; 38 how God anointed Yeshua from Natzeret with the Ruach HaKodesh and with power; how Yeshua went about doing good and healing all the people oppressed by the Adversary, because God was with him.
2 Corinthians 5: 17 Therefore, if anyone is united with the Messiah, he is a new creation — the old has passed; look, what has come is fresh and new!
Again, you may ask, who is this G-d who is mentioned in connection with the Moshiach? God did this through Him, God raised Him from the dead, etc .etc… Does it really matter anymore?
Philip wondered about things like this too.
John 14:8 Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it will be enough for us.” 9 Yeshua replied to him, “Have I been with you so long without your knowing me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Don’t you believe that I am united with the Father, and the Father united with me? What I am telling you, I am not saying on my own initiative; the Father living in me is doing his own works. 11 Trust me, that I am united with the Father, and the Father united with me. But if you can’t, then trust because of the works themselves.
Yeshua’s work was to go about doing ONLY GOOD.
Whoever follows this Way comes into eternal Life and becomes part of the NEW CREATION.
Acts 10: 9 The next day about noon, while they were still on their way and approaching the city, Kefa went up onto the roof of the house to pray. 10 He began to feel hungry and wanted something to eat; but while they were preparing the meal, he fell into a trance 11 in which he saw heaven opened, and something that looked like a large sheet being lowered to the ground by its four corners. 12 In it were all kinds of four-footed animals, crawling creatures and wild birds. 13 Then a voice came to him, “Get up, Kefa, slaughter and eat!” 14 But Kefa said, “No, sir! Absolutely not! I have never eaten food that was unclean or treif.” 15 The voice spoke to him a second time: “Stop treating as unclean what God has made clean.”
Mathew 5: 43 “You have heard that our fathers were told, ‘Love your neighbor — and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! 45 Then you will become children of your Father in heaven. For he makes his sun shine on good and bad people alike, and he sends rain to the righteous and the unrighteous alike. 46 What reward do you get if you love only those who love you? Why, even tax-collectors do that! 47 And if you are friendly only to your friends, are you doing anything out of the ordinary? Even the Goyim do that! 48 Therefore, be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
This is the Way, the Truth and the Life in the NEW CREATION.

Revelation 13:8 Everyone living on earth will worship it (the Beast) except those whose names are written in the Book of Life belonging to the Lamb slaughtered before the world was founded.

It is not the Beast that concerns me. It is the Lamb. This Lamb was with the Father and the Ruach HaKodesh even before the foundation of the world.

Proverbs 8: I was with him as someone he could trust. For me, every day was pure delight, as I played in his presence all the time,.31 playing everywhere on his earth, and delighting to be with humankind.

This Lamb is also revealed as Wisdom.

Proverbs 8: “Adonai made me as the beginning of his way, the first of his ancient works. 23 I was appointed before the world, before the start, before the earth’s beginnings.

This Wisdom-Lamb was slaughtered before the world was founded. This is a great Mystery. The acquiescence of the Lamb to being slaughtered by Adonai was because He delighted to be with humankind. The antidote to the Fall of humankind was made ready even before the world was founded – the Crucified or Slaughtered Lamb.

The Lamb was and always has been the Word of G-d. Not the written text that religionists project but the authentic Living Word of G-d, the express image, exact representation and perfect expression of G-d.

John 1: 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning.
3 All things came to be through him, and without him nothing made had being. 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of mankind.
5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not suppressed it.

14 The Word became a human being and lived with us, and we saw his Sh’khinah, the Sh’khinah of the Father’s only Son,full of grace and truth.

29 The next day, Yochanan saw Yeshua coming toward him and said, “Look! God’s lamb! The one who is taking away the sin of the world! 30 This is the man I was talking about when I said, ‘After me is coming someone who has come to rank above me, because he existed before me.’

John was the first to recognise the Word of G-d, the Lamb of G-d, and state clearly that He who had been slaughtered from before the foundation of the world (‘He existed before me’) was now incarnate in the world.

The Lamb’s mission was to manifest that slaughter from before the foundation of the world in the world for the remission of the sins of humankind (its missing the ultimate goal or mark of being one with G-d) and its reconciliation through His death with G-d and its gaining everything that is in G-d.

The core of faith in the Lamb of God, the Moshiach, the Saviour, lies in becoming one with His sacrifice and death. Golgotha (the Place of the Skull) and the Tree upon which He would hang were ever the focus of the Lamb who was manifesting Himself as the salvation in/of the world He had brought into being.

Mathew 16: 21 From that time on, Yeshua began making it clear to his talmidim that he had to go to Yerushalayim and endure much suffering at the hands of the elders, the head cohanim and the Torah-teachers; and that he had to be put to death; but that on the third day, he had to be raised to life. 22 Kefa took him aside and began rebuking him, “Heaven be merciful, Lord! By no means will this happen to you!” 23 But Yeshua turned his back on Kefa, saying, “Get behind me, Satan! You are an obstacle in my path, because your thinking is from a human perspective, not from God’s perspective!

The Slaughtered Lamb is the heart of G-d’s perspective. The Lamb kept this perspective always alive in Himself. Therefore sin (the possibility of missing the mark or goal) could not overcome Him. Even if the possibility came to Him as temptation, His being was so fixed in G-d’s perspective and His being slaughtered from before the foundation of the world that He could dismiss that possibility by the power of the Ruach HaKodesh and prayer.

This what we understand as the OBEDIENCE of the Lamb to the Father’s Will. But, for the Lamb, he was only manifesting His eternal substance and essence in a human body.

The Lamb, while on earth, always remembered that He had been slaughtered as an offering for humankind’s sin and as the overcoming of humankind’s sin from before the foundation of the world. This is called ‘the faith of the Son of G-d’ – His ability to remember his essence and to faithfully remain in it.

Luke 22: 41 He went about a stone’s throw away from them, kneeled down and prayed, 42 “Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me; still, let not my will but yours be done.”

And it was so.The remembering of His essence and being kept Him in the Way, the Truth and the Life. Therefore, He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

What does the slaughter of the Lamb from before the foundation of the world and His slaughter on Earth imply for human beings? Something wonderful!

Ephesians 1: 4 In the Messiah he chose us in love before the creation of the universe to be holy and without defect in his presence.

We were chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world to be the sons of G-d. When Paul says that we were chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world, it means WE WERE ALSO SLAUGHTERED WITH CHRIST. That is, we too can live according to the essence and substance of our being in Him, the Moshiach, and do not have to live according to our ‘false’ selves or ‘being’ on Earth.

We are dead to that False Self and alive to the True Self. This death to our False Self was accomplished even before the creation of the world along with the slaughter of the Lamb. And it was doubly reiterated on Golgotha and the Tree by the Moshiach.

This was the incredible revelation that Paul received on the road to Damascus. And he speaks again and again of this WISDOM.

Galatians 1: 11 Furthermore, let me make clear to you, brothers, that the Good News as I proclaim it is not a human product; 12 because neither did I receive it from someone else nor was I taught it — it came through a direct revelation from Yeshua the Messiah.

Galatians 2: 20 When the Messiah was executed on the stake as a criminal, I was too; so that my proud ego no longer lives. But the Messiah lives in me, and the life I now live in my body I live by the same trusting faithfulness that the Son of God had, who loved me and gave himself up for me.

Let me repeat it constantly to myself first and always. Let me keep remembering that which was DONE before the foundation of the world and at Golgotha in the Moshiach. Then I too can remain in G-d’s perspective.

Galatians 2: 20 I have been crucified with Christ [that is, in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body I live by faith [by adhering to, relying on, and completely trusting] in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

The Moshiach never wavered from what was his essence – the Lamb slaughtered from before the foundation of the world – and manifested His essence all His life and upon the Tree at Golgotha.

I too can now be unwavering in my essence in the Moshiach – that I too was slaughtered with the Lamb before the foundation of the world and am NOW a partaker of the Moshiach’s death upon the Tree as manifested in the world.

What is there left to do?

Galatians 2:21 I do not ignore or nullify the [gracious gift of the] grace of God [His amazing, unmerited favor].

I do not reject God’s gracious gift.

It is a precious gift – the knowledge of being crucified with Christ – before the foundation of the world and NOW being conformed to His death.

Philippians 3: 10 Yes, I gave it all up in order to know him, that is, to know the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings as I am being conformed to his death, 11 so that somehow I might arrive at being resurrected from the dead.

May the Ruach HaKodesh keep this light of this Wisdom of G-d, the Lamb slain from before the foundation of the world and slain on Golgotha for the remission of your sins, burning in my heart.

May the Ruach HaKodesh enlighten you too, as you read, that you may know for certain that you too were chosen in Him from before the creation of the world and therefore crucified or slaughtered with Him from before the creation of the world. This is both your salvation and my salvation.

As it was in the beginning, is NOW, and ever shall be, world without end.

Why the Evangelical or any other such authoritarian argument cannot be trusted about the “scriptures”, especially those written by Paul.
“In ancient Greek there are no capital or lowercase letters. The word used here is γραφαί (accusative γραφάς) which means simply “writings, documents, letters”. To translate this as “Scriptures”, with capital “S”, is a manipulation of the text.”
Also, for Paul there was only one Tanakh, he had no clue that down the line some people would sit down and put his letters into a book that they would claim to be another ‘Tanakh’ of sorts that included his writings as ‘infallible”. The creation of this book was a political act and not spiritual.…/did-paul-knew-he-was-writing…

There’s this bit of honesty in that the writer acknowledges that we live in a post-Christian world. However, his assumption that ‘believers’ can create ‘fearless art’ is stupid. Because that category of human being is fundamentally driven by ‘fear’ of G-d or doctrine or whatever other ‘propositions’ are sold to them by proselytisers and hedge-builders.
The artist is different. He or she is not afraid of being human and doesn’t consider ‘being human’ as being lesser than being a ‘believer’. As for G-d, that’s a matter for exploration and experimentation and not so much conformity to religious norms. Which is why the ‘unbelieving’, ‘ungodly’ artist always is able to create a ‘thing of beauty’ that ‘believers’ can barely access, understand, experience or express.Art is alien territory for ‘believers’ of varying shades and hues.
The Book of Life is the artist’s friend, philosopher and guide while the Black Book of Doctrine is the ‘believer”s first and last resort. Life is subjected to and superseded by ‘letters of death’.
The followers of doctrine and the dead letter may create pretty pictures or images that resonate and echo with ‘believers’ but they cannot create higher art, simply because they do not understand the Spirit of Life and fear too many aspects of Life itself. They are conditioned not to investigate or express many aspects of being human. It’s too dangerous, they are told.
Again, much of this talk of art and creativity by ‘believers’ is bound up with, firstly, their new-found realization of and fear of the power of images and, secondly, the necessity to somehow keep the fires of proselytization alive by desperately seeking to co-opt energies and skills that are denied in the first place.
Oh yes, and that bit about creative people who share “rational, propositional beliefs’! Are you kidding? The Christian religion is based on several ‘irrationalities” which some not-so-clever minds try to pass off as rational or suprarational. The artist, on the other hand, is not exactly subservient to such ‘rationalisations’ of the irrational. He prefers to be thoroughly irrational, if necessary, and a thing of beauty or a work of art that is a sphinx-like puzzle or mystery emerges.
The ‘believers’ are not capable of such acts, except rarely, and therefore their so-called creative, artistic efforts can only lead to the creation of generally weak and repetitively redundant and often repugnant ‘religious art’, a small subset of ART.
“Those who restrain desire, do so because theirs is weak enough to be restrained; and the restrainer or reason usurps its place & governs the unwilling. And being restrain’d, it by degrees becomes passive till it is only the shadow of desire.”
How do you know but ev’ry Bird that cuts the airy way,
Is an immense world of delight, clos’d by your senses five?”

In my long experience of moving with varied segments of so-called ‘Evangelical’ Christians, what always intrigued and appalled me was how they find it so easy to take and twist verses out of context to justify their actions any time they are confronted or questioned about the authenticity of their message or experience and mission.
I have played this game too, many times. That is how I realized that the notion or concept of ‘Scripture’ is a vehicle of both convenience and justification for an individual or a collective (sects, primarily the New Age sects that think they are ‘churches’) to get away with the many projects they plan. That is how I realized how gullible seekers of the ‘truth’ are, too.
For these Evangelicals, once you cite Scripture or take the name or authority of ‘G-d’, nobody can question their infallibility or inaccuracy or idiocy. Ultimately, this concept of a ‘G-d breathed’ infallible, literal text written by humans allows Evangelical sectarians to use it as a club to clobber others with in the name of an authoritarian fascist G-d or to use it as a crutch upon which to lean and prop up their own insecure lives while resorting to an Us vs Them mode of being.
A prime example of the hypocrisy and lies that Evangelicals resort to relates to their trying to ‘obey’ a section in their text-book wherein Yeshua the Moshiach is seen as commanding them to go and convert all the heathen across the Kosmos into their world view., That is, to coerce others into their narrow interpretation of Yeshua’s life and vision.
Towards this end, mostly white ‘missionaries’ from the USA, UK and sometimes parts of Europe seek to enter ‘pagan’ nations like India to make them see the ‘light’. What is interesting is that while they profess their intention to ‘obey’ the Moshiach, they set out on their mission with a fundamentally untruthful act.
These ‘missionaries’ who want to teach the pagans in India the ‘Truth’, as they put it, will not declare their intentions when they seek to enter the country. They will not seek a ‘missionary’ visa. So, the first part of their ‘mission’ is to sneak into India as ‘tourists’ or in other guises via front organisations for missionary enterprises, set up in the healthcare, business, education and other sectors.
They hide themselves under the veneer of being ‘humanitarians’ in terms of their organisations instead of declaring themselves openly as proselytizers and missionaries.
In the past several years, I have seen an increased influx of such ‘lying’ missionaries entering India under varying pretexts. They do not declare their true ‘mission’ to the authorities. They enter and are put up by their Indian allies and, without permission to do so, preach and teach in ‘churches’ and in homes. They have many Indian ‘brothers and sisters’ who enable them in this secret work of proselytization.
Outwardly, these ‘missionaries’ do not give away their ‘profession’; they act friendly and normal claiming to be in India to simply enjoy the thrills India has to offer. But inwardly, and in tandem with their Indian allies, they are working towards strategies and plans hatched overseas over which Indians have no say or control in their work of creating a wider Evangelical ’empire’ within the Indian nation, one that is often inimical to Indian culture and heritage and ‘inspires’ their followers to ‘recreate’ the nation along the lines of white culture and imperial enterprise.
Surprisingly, many of these ‘missionaries’ seem to be ignorant of the history of authentic disciples of the Moshiach who traversed the world in the first and second centuries bringing His radical message to people. They are ‘ignorant’, I say, of the history of the Body of Christ. The authentic disciples never had to LIE about their Master and the mission they were on. They were never ashamed of the Moshiach and His message and did not resort to disguises and subterfuge when telling others about Him.
This is why the early, authentic disciples of the Moshiach ended up only too often in prison, in the games stadia of imperial Rome, in torture chambers or at the stake. Their power lay in their genuine knowledge and understanding of the Moshiach and their inability, as it were, to hide their testimony and witness or to disguise it to save their reputation and skins.
These present-day white missionaries, however, on the other hand, are cleverer than those who paid with health and wealth and lives to declare the coming of the Moshiach wherever they went. They sang it from the housetops, they preached it in the market squares and in the prisons into which they were thrown. They were simply not ashamed of the ‘gospel’ nor did they put their light under a bushel but upon a lamp stand.
In the end, these missionaries fear for their lives and reputations and seek to make a living out of the ‘gospel’, yea, a career. They end up designing ‘pragmatic’ programs and methods out of places like Lausanne or Colorado Springs or Texas for the conversion of the heathen in India. The more closely I observe them, the farther I seek to flee from their hypocrisy and self-justification. They end up watering down the testimony and witness of the Moshiach. They fear the shame of bearing His Name in public and in the open and bypass it.
This is why I earnestly believe that honest Indian seekers of truth and G-d must reject the machinations of such fearful, anxious, untruthful, hypocritical white ‘missionaries’ and their enterprises. They must instead find the Moshiach on their own terms and bear authentic witness to the Resurrected One like the early disciples instead of opting for the second-hand version brought to them by those from the Bible Belt in the USA or Oxford in the UK who do it surreptitiously and sneakingly to curry favour with G-d and man.
When Indians find the Moshiach on their own, and there is enough of a heritage of Adonai Yeshua in India for them to do so, then they will be able to taste and see something very different from what is being packaged and brought to them from across the seas.
John 18: 20 Yeshua answered, “I have spoken quite openly to everyone; I have always taught in a synagogue or in the Temple where all Jews meet together, and I have said nothing in secret; 21 so why are you questioning me?”
Mathew 10: 26 So do not fear them; for there is nothing covered that will not be uncovered, or hidden that will not be known. 27 What I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim on the housetops.
Mark 8: 38 For if someone is ashamed of me and of what I say in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man also will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.
Mark 8: 34 Then Yeshua called the crowd and his talmidim to him and told them, “If anyone wants to come after me, let him say ‘No’ to himself, take up his execution-stake, and keep following me. 35 For whoever wants to save his own life will destroy it, but whoever destroys his life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News will save it.

Mathew 6: 12 Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those that trespass against us.
Mark 11: 25 And when you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him; so that your Father in heaven may also forgive your offenses.
Matthew 6: 14–15 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father also will forgive you; but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Who are these who have trespassed against us/me? What debts do they owe me?
What might these trespasses or debts be that I hold against any one or many?
Where does one begin? And how does one do this with honesty and integrity?

When I meditate on these verses, what comes to my mind first and foremost is that there is a place of honesty where one must, in a sense, ‘forgive’ G-d.
Now, this does not imply that G-d has done something wrong or amiss towards me, that G-d is a debtor towards me or that G-d owes me anything. G-d is a notion or a concept or a Person of whom I have very little understanding. Hence, the confusion.
I am speaking of a deep grudge, an unhealthy feeling that I, and many other humans, hold against G-d deep within our hearts. This feeling has to do with imagining that G-d did me a wrong turn by creating me and that, further down the line, G-d has let me down, caused me to suffer unjustly in a world that is sick and doomed, not kept his promises or fulfilled my dreams and ambitions, spiritual or material, and/or, in plainspeak, G-d has betrayed me and all human beings.
I have learnt that when such a feeling overwhelms me, and it is a false, unhealthy feeling, it is good to literally follow the teaching of the Moshiach. “When you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone (your notion of G-d included), forgive.”
Do you have something against G-d? Forgive, and see how it feels or what happens thereafter! It might be the moment in which the light appears and one realizes that it is NOT I who has to forgive G-d but that it is G-d who forgives me all my debts, trespasses, transgressions.
In that moment of touching the grace of G-d, who is all-merciful and all-forgiveness, ALL IS FORGIVEN and the portal to Universal Eternal Love of G-d and human beings opens up.
In that moment, one wonders how one’s heart could have been so wicked as to imagine that G-d is a debtor to oneself when G-d has poured out everything, the entire Universe and all that it contains, for me and all human beings.
This generosity of G-d towards me is the very impulse, experience and learning of Life and its mysteries. And what have I done with that generosity?
So then, having begun with doubt, anger, disbelief, contempt, disgust or hatred towards G-d and the imagined evils G-d has done to oneself, a desperate but honest act of ‘forgiving’ G-d dispels all the darkness and the light of G-d’s goodness comes pouring in.

But now, there is a bigger conundrum!

Having experienced this generous outpouring of forgiveness from G-d, what is one to do with all those who have trespassed against oneself?
The list is long of all those who owe you little or much. They have demeaned, insulted, humiliated, offended, hated and abused you physically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually, so you believe.
There are those who envied you and wished your downfall and then watched with glee when it happened.
There are those who rejoiced over your failures, moral and otherwise, in life and labelled you as a ne’er-do-well.
There are those who cursed you, for good reason or otherwise, and lived to see those curses alight upon you.
There are those who never wanted you to succeed and so, at every available point, highlighted your vices over any virtue that you might have had.
There are those who simply decided to dump you when you needed them most, you were abandoned to the wolves or adverse circumstances.
There are those who said they would love you come what may and then walked away grinning, leaving you to deal with the betrayal of love.
There are those who ignored your being and your presence as inconsequential or as your punishment.
There are those who spoke behind your back, who influenced others not to give you a chance to recuperate from your sickness or recoup your losses.
There are collectives, groups of humans you were involved with, who first found fault with you, then persecuted you and, finally, excluded or excommunicated you.

When you stand praying, they come into your mind. They have festered long in your soul. You blame G-d for orchestrating and engineering your defeats and humiliation at their hands. You blame them for being sub-human or inhuman. You believe that all of them, individually or collectively, owed you something. They were all debtors to you; so you think and so you suffer.

When you stand praying and they come to mind or afflict the soul and disrupt the Spirit, the Moshiach says “Forgive them their debts, insults, transgressions, trespasses, lack of understanding or even what might be a right understanding about you, that which you might consider an offence.”

Once you have experienced the forgiveness of the Moshiach and G-d, this is the possibility at the threshold of your heart even if you think or feel that it is not easy. But take a shot at it, and it will work. You will be able to forgive ALL even as ALL IS FORGIVEN.

And finally, when you stand praying, FORGIVE YOURSELF.
Ridiculous, you might say, because you just claimed that ALL IS FORGIVEN you by G-d.

Yet, you don’t feel forgiven, you don’t feel that all is alright between you and G-d, between you and individuals, between you and certain collectives.

No, you don’t feel right at all about yourself either.

What does it mean to forgive oneself?

It is to understand, and not feel, that ALL IS INDEED FORGIVEN. It is to know, and not feel, that you can look at those who have trespassed against you with the eyes of the Moshiach, those eyes of goodness and mercy.
It is to enter, in the twinkling of a moment, the Shekinah, the divine Presence of the glory of G-d, and find that all your burdens of anger, hatred and distrust of your own self, G-d and others have fallen away. The snake has shed its skin.
You discover that your blemishes no longer matter; they have been excised and healed by a power far beyond anything you had known or experienced.
Your sins have been washed away in the coolest and most refreshing living waters.

Isaiah 1: 18 “Come now,” says Adonai, “let’s talk this over together.
Even if your sins are like scarlet, they will be white as snow; even if they are red as crimson, they will be like wool.

Ezekiel 36: 25 Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your uncleanness and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit inside you; I will take the stony heart out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put my Spirit inside you and cause you to live by my laws, respect my rulings and obey them.

Mark 11: 25 And when you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him.
Mathew 6: 12 Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those that trespass against us.
Matthew 6: 14–15 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father also will forgive you; but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

24 October 2016

Sometime in the late 80s (my wife will know the exact dates!), I was instrumental in introducing a bunch of Evangelical Union youngsters to a newer form/pattern of Evangelical Christianity that was coming in from the West, particularly Canada, UK and USA seeking to replace the then extant form/pattern of sobriety and rigidity of the EU youth in terms of ‘quiet time’, ‘morality’, ‘bible study’, ‘bible camps’ and ‘mission’.

A typical archaic EU gathering would sing a few old hymns and a couple of choruses, spend some time in prayer and then look up to whoever was preaching the Word with a bit of ‘discussion’ thrown in at the end of it and a closing prayer. The form was adhered to rigidly and ‘discussion’ never meant real discussion but everyone’s acquiescence to Evangelical doctrine and dogma and nodding heads in unison to the positions articulated by the leaders, usually handpicked from the Evangelical Graduates Fellowship. And adherence to this form/pattern was considered ‘fellowship’.

The newer form/pattern stoked up emotions, thanks to music that was driven by primal beats picked up from the pop and rock culture that inevitably led to the body becoming involved with hand-clapping and hand waving, swaying of the hips and moving of the feet in tune to a host of songs released into the ether by ‘spirit-driven’ songwriter-musicians of the Vineyard movement and like-minded outfits.

This new form/pattern was charismatic in essence touting the gifts of the Spirit of speaking in tongues, prophecy, healing and the like (Pentecostal in many ways and yet going beyond traditional Pentecostalism) and the preachers who emerged in this scenario were inevitably more fiery, ‘spirited’, purveyors of the miraculous and enabled outbursts of laughter or weeping among their listeners. More often than not, the powerful preachers who propagated this form/pattern would be able to drive many of their listeners to the floor in a phenomenon called being ‘slain in the spirit’.

To get back to the point, soon enough these two forms/patterns became rivals in the free market of Evangelical Christendom with adherents of the emotive form charging those belonging to the sober form with not having enough zeal or fire or denying the existence of the gifts of the Spirit. The latter, on their part, prophesied that all the emotional and magical excess indulged in by the former would lead to the destruction of many souls.

However, both Evangelical forms had this in common – a hatred for the much older and ancient, traditional forms/patterns like the Orthodox, Catholic, Anglican, Lutheran, etc. The Evangelicals, whether rigid or emotional, were agreed that the great majority of Christians across the world were unwashed, nominal scum and their intention was to ‘convert’ these unconverted Christians into becoming like them, people who claimed to be better than others because they were ‘born again’.

Evangelicalism had arrived on two fronts, in its confrontation with traditional Christianity, as a religion making taller claims about being the true ‘way’ and asserting that one could be saved only by becoming an Evangelical fundamentalist as opposed to being a liberal traditionalist. And the key weapon in its armory was the pernicious notion of Sola Scriptura, a doctrinal aberration to which this religion owes blind loyalty.

Now, some 30 years later, one finds that this Evangelical religion has replicated itself as an imposing form/pattern across most parts of the world and it carries even more vigorously within itself the poison of hatred towards forms/patterns of Christianity that preceded it and are skeptical of and even indifferent to its self-righteous claims of being ‘the truth’.

Apart from its hatred of forms/patterns of Christianity that doubt its authenticity and care tuppence for its dogma, this form also carries a deadly virus of hatred towards those who are not Christians and are referred to as the unsaved, pagans, heathen, gays, pro-choice, etc.

This form/pattern predominantly thrives on first, by means of doctrine and dogma based on a certain narrow interpretation of Scripture, creating the ‘other’ and condemning it. Then, secondly, it sets up missions to proselytize and convert this ‘other’ they have created via proof-texting, by hook or by crook.

Millions of dollars are pumped into this enterprise of proselytization by its corporate heads based in the US, UK and some European countries with the intention of reaching the point of having only one religion on the planet – the Evangelical religion. A global theocracy.

This form/pattern of religion has been steadily penetrating Asia, Africa and Latin America across the past 30 years riding piggyback on neo-colonialist enterprise and it has also been slyly placing its adherents inside the older, traditional churches to either disrupt or divide their congregations, often encouraging and resorting to ‘sheep-stealing’ to bolster its numbers.

I must confess that I too was enamoured of this particularly toxic Evangelical form/pattern. But having investigated, through deep involvement and exploration alongside its participants – leaders and lay people – the Evangelical game of ‘playing at church’ for more than 40 years in a variety of its avatars, from a sort of liberal Evangelicalism (that tolerates drinking in moderation, for instance), to ultra-holiness semi-cult movements, it is increasingly clear to me that this Evangelical form/pattern of religion is as dangerous at its core as any other fundamentalist form of religion.

The older traditional churches, whether Catholic or Protestant, in spite of many internal checks and balances, have across historical time sometimes degenerated into ‘fundamentalists’ who sought to ‘save’ or ‘destroy’ the ‘other’ or the ‘heretics’ among themselves. But the deeper foundations laid by the Church Fathers have been able to set the boat aright thanks to a healthy mix of Scripture, Tradition, Sacraments, the Writings of the Fathers, Symbolism, and so on.

In the newer iconoclastic or emotive Evangelical form/pattern, the Traditions, the Writings of the Fathers, the Sacraments – none of these matter. Very few of those who belong to this pattern are literate in these aspects of the ‘faith’. However, the writings or rantings of Evangelical mini-popes and miracle workers (check G-d Channel and the like to make a list of these minor deities) are held in great esteem.

In their oversimplification and irrational dependence on these leaders and especially their central idol, the ‘inerrant, infallible’ Bible, they have forgotten the Person of the Moshiach Yeshua who is much more than the ‘letter’, a truth that the ancient churches knew only too well.

The letter is subservient to the Moshiach. But to those who belong to the Evangelical religion, the Moshiach is subservient to their reductionist understanding and interpretation of the Bible. The correct term for this sort of worship of a Book over its Eternal Author is Bibliolatry. That is, there is no difference in the way the Evangelicals worship the Bible and the Muslims their Koran. The premises are exactly the same and G-d is bound within the confines of black leather and black letters.

The ‘Book’ thus becomes the instruction manual for ‘playing at church’ and this is the new ‘tradition’ rising hydra-headed like a Beast out of the Sea. In the end, this ‘playing at church’ will be the reason for the emergence of the anti-Christ, the Lawless One. Its emergence will be directly because the Person of the Moshiach has been replaced by a new Book of Law to rival or complement Moses’ Law. The Evangelical religionists are the new Mosaic Jews! And the Law, whether Mosaic or Evangelical, has never been able to accomplish true righteousness but is very good at generating a semblance or form of righteousness and godliness among those who try to live by it.

This is a serious matter.

For myself, I think I have finally escaped the serpentine seduction of Bibliolatry and its adherents and the desire to participate in their ‘mission’ and game of ‘playing at church’. No doubt, there is great reward for those who indulge in this game, materially and in terms of gaining a name among people and being proud of the feelgood factor that comes from ‘successfully’ building one more sect or denomination, raking in the money from ‘temple business’ and, above all, experiencing the highs of exercising power and control over ‘sheep’.

It is surely worth my while to abandon this game of ‘playing at church’ and to spend the rest of my life figuring out and understanding how to be one with the Moshiach just as the Moshiach and His Father are one.

John 10: 27 My sheep listen to my voice, I recognize them, they follow me, 28 and I give them eternal life. They will absolutely never be destroyed, and no one will snatch them from my hands. 29 My Father, who gave them to me, is greater than all; and no one can snatch them from the Father’s hands.

10 October 2016

Tomorrow begins Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.
On the material surface of our lives, time’s rule is absolute. But on its spiritual inside, the past is but another vista of life, open to exploration and development with the transformative power of teshuvah. (Yanki Tauber)
I am returning.
And this is for those returning.
Zechariah 2: 7 (3) Here the angel who was speaking to me went forward, and another angel went out, met him 8 (4) and said to him, “Run and tell this young man, ‘Yerushalayim will be inhabited without walls, because there will be so many people and animals; 9 (5) “for,” says Adonai, “I will be for her a wall of fire surrounding her; and I will be the glory within her.
14 (10) “Sing, daughter of Tziyon; rejoice! For, here, I am coming; and I will live among you,” says Adonai. 15 (11) When that time comes, many nations will join themselves to Adonai. “They will be my people, and I will live among you.”
No more walls. A space to be inhabited joyously full of peace and prosperity. And it will be because of this Man.
Zechariah 3: 1 He showed me Y’hoshua the cohen hagadol standing before the angel of Adonai, with the Accuser standing at his right to accuse him. 2 Adonai said to the Accuser, “May Adonai rebuke you, Accuser! Indeed, may Adonai, who has made Yerushalayim his choice, rebuke you! Isn’t this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?” 3 Y’hoshua was clothed in garments covered with dung; and he was standing before the angel, 4 who said to those standing in front of him, “Take those filthy garments off of him.” Then to him he said, “See, I am taking your guilt away. I will clothe you in fine robes.” 5 I said, “They should put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and gave him fine robes to wear, while the angel of Adonai stood by. 6 Then the angel of Adonai gave Y’hoshua this warning: 7 “Adonai-Tzva’ot says this: ‘If you will walk in my ways, obey my commission, judge my house and guard my courtyards; then I will give you free access among these who are standing here. 8 Listen, cohen gadol Y’hoshua, both you and your colleagues seated here before you, because these men are a sign that I am going to bring my servant Tzemach [Sprout]. 9 For look at the stone I have put in front of Y’hoshua: on one stone are seven eyes; I will engrave what is to be written on it,’ says Adonai-Tzva’ot; ‘and I will remove the guilt of this land in one day. 10 When that time comes,’ says Adonai-Tzva’ot, ‘you will all invite each other to join you under your vines and fig trees.’”
That day is here, for those who are entering it.

I prefer to avoid New Age churches because, though they have pretty girls or clean-shaven young men for ushers, a bunch of long haired or zombie-looking worship team singers and musicians with their cloned rock or rap or hip hop music combined with lots of butt and body shaking freaks in the audience (why don’t they just go to a real rock concert instead of doing the Jesus jig?), they think Jesus was a wimp who drank grape juice and not wine and serve me the same. But if I go to a traditional church, they serve real wine, the sort that Jesus turned the water into, a sip of which is enough to draw me nigh unto G-d. As for the wafers, yeah they’re cute although that’s not the bread Jesus broke.

The latest Evangelical gimmick and trend is to talk of everything concerning people as being ‘relational’. They try to give the impression of being friendly, open, sensitive, caring, committed, inclusive and so on and so forth because, they say, it’s all about relationships and community.

But it’s a mask.

The moment you question their doctrine and dogma, always the hidden agenda, you see their theories and claims falling apart.

They do not like their beliefs being questioned and you will realise that all the camaraderie, food, fellowship, etc they try to bribe you with are ‘conversion’ methodologies aimed at getting you to believe what they believe and parrot what they believe.

If you do buy into it, you will be sucked into one of their manifold sects. So, test them and you will find hollow men with clay feet locked into the ‘letter that kills” and paid as hirelings to propagate the same.

The strange thing is, even the letter which works death in human beings has a shine, a sheen, a glory that blinds its purveyors and those who fall into the same delusion. Those who buy and sell this written text of death trade in human souls and have a glory that is before the face of human beings. But it is a glory that is fading away although it does not seem like that to them while they walk in this way and seduce others into following the same.

The written letter of death accuses, judges and condemns.
The Spirit sets human beings free.
Avoid the mixed wine of the written text of death AND the Holy Spirit, the Shekinah, the Presence.

Come through the Veil of the Written Text of Death torn into two by Yeshua Adonai.

Here you will come to the Shekinah and the Presence.

Here you will hear Words of Life and Spirit.

Here you will find Bread and Wine.

Luke 16: 14 The P’rushim heard all this, and since they were money-lovers, they ridiculed him. 15 He said to them, “You people make yourselves look righteous to others, but God knows your hearts; what people regard highly is an abomination before God!

John 5:41 “I don’t collect praise from men, 42 but I do know you people — I know that you have no love for God in you! 44 How can you trust? You’re busy collecting praise from each other, instead of seeking praise from God only.

2 Corinthians 3: 5 It is not that we are competent in ourselves to count anything as having come from us; on the contrary, our competence is from God. 6 He has even made us competent to be workers serving a New Covenant, the essence of which is not a written text but the Spirit. For the written text brings death, but the Spirit gives life. 9 For if there was glory in what worked to declare people guilty, how much more must the glory abound in what works to declare people innocent!

1 Thessalonians 5: 19 Don’t quench the Spirit, 20 don’t despise inspired messages. 21 But do test everything — hold onto what is good.

The spiritual person gives out of deep compassion to meet another’s deepest needs expecting nothing in return; the proselyte ‘invests’ in another’s needs for a return on investment – another convert brought into a religious prison.

The latter is the wolf about which Yeshua haMoshiach spoke.

John 14: 30 I won’t be talking with you much longer, because the ruler of this world is coming. He has no claim on me.

These wolf-proselytisers also have ‘hired workers’ (hirelings) under them. That is the innate structure of religion.

John 10: 12 The hired hand, since he isn’t a shepherd and the sheep aren’t his own, sees the wolf coming, abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf drags them off and scatters them. 13 The hired worker behaves like this because that’s all he is, a hired worker; so it doesn’t matter to him what happens to the sheep.

There are wolves in sheep’s clothing. But worse, there are wolves in shepherds’ clothing!

Ezekiel 34: The word of Adonai came to me: 2 “Human being, prophesy against the shepherds of Isra’el. Prophesy! Tell them, the shepherds, that Adonai Elohim says this: ‘Woe to the shepherds of Isra’el who feed themselves! Shouldn’t the shepherds feed the sheep? 3 You eat the choice meat, you clothe yourselves with the wool, and you slaughter the best of the herd; but you don’t feed the sheep! 4 You don’t strengthen the weak, heal the sick, bandage the broken, bring back the outcasts or seek the lost; on the contrary, you tyrannize them with crushing force. 5 So they were scattered, without a shepherd, and became food for every wild animal — they were scattered. 6 My sheep wandered around aimlessly on every mountain and hill; yes, my sheep were scattered all over the land, with no one to search for them or look after them.

7 “‘Therefore, shepherds, hear the word of Adonai: 8 “As I live,” Adonai Elohim swears, “because my sheep have become prey, my sheep have become food for every wild animal, since there was no shepherd, since my shepherds didn’t look for my sheep, and instead my shepherds fed themselves but not my sheep,” 9 therefore, shepherds, hear the word of Adonai! 10 Adonai Elohim says, “I am against the shepherds. I demand that they hand my sheep back to me. I will not allow them to feed the sheep, and they won’t feed themselves either. I will rescue my sheep from their mouths; they will be food for them no longer.”

11 “‘For here is what Adonai Elohim says: “I am taking over! I will search for my sheep and look after them, myself. 12 Just as a shepherd looks after his flock when he finds himself among his scattered sheep, so I will look after my sheep. I will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered when it was cloudy and dark. 13 I will bring them back from those peoples, gather them from those countries and return them to their own land. Then I will let them feed on the mountains of Isra’el, by the streams and in all the livable places of the land. 14 I will have them feed in good pastures; their grazing ground will be on the high mountains of Isra’el. They will rest in good grazing grounds and feed in rich pastures on Isra’el’s mountains. 15 Yes, I will pasture my sheep; and I will let them rest” says Adonai Elohim. 16 “I will seek the lost, bring back the outcasts, bandage the broken, and strengthen the sick. But the fat and the strong I will destroy — I will feed them with judgment.”

Thus it was that Yeshua haMoshiach came so that human beings may be set free from wolves in shepherds’ clothing and cometo knowledge of the Son of G-d and be free forever in that Kingdom that lies in the heart.

Luke 4: 16 Now when he went to Natzeret, where he had been brought up, on Shabbat he went to the synagogue as usual. He stood up to read, 17 and he was given the scroll of the prophet Yesha‘yahu. Unrolling the scroll, he found the place where it was written,
18 “The Spirit of Adonai is upon me; therefore he has anointed me
to announce Good News to the poor; he has sent me to proclaim freedom for the imprisoned and renewed sight for the blind, to release those who have been crushed, 19 to proclaim a year of the favor of Adonai.”
20 After closing the scroll and returning it to the shammash, he sat down; and the eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fixed on him. 21 He started to speak to them: “Today, as you heard it read, this passage of the Tanakh was fulfilled!”

John 10: 14 I am the good shepherd; I know my own, and my own know me.

Now you and I know who to go to and who to avoid.

ON REALITY  (not original)

You’re not real.

What? You are?

Is any of it real?

I mean, look at this. Look at it!

A world built on fantasy!

Synthetic emotions in the form of pills,
psychological warfare in
the form of advertising,
mind-altering chemicals
in the form of food,
brainwashing seminars in the form of media,
controlled isolated bubbles
in the form of social networks.

Real? You want to talk about reality?

We haven’t lived in
anything remotely close to it
since the turn of the century.

We turned it off, took out the batteries,
snacked on a bag of GMOs
while we tossed the remnants
in the ever-expanding dumpster
of the human condition.

We live in branded houses
trademarked by corporations
built on bipolar numbers
jumping up and down on digital displays,
hypnotizing us into the biggest
slumber mankind has ever seen.

You have to dig pretty deep, kiddo,
before you can find anything real.

We live in a kingdom of bullshit,
a kingdom you’ve lived in for far too long.
So don’t tell me about not being real…..

I’m no less real than
the fucking beef patty

Orders arrived today by email on how to be a ‘correct’ christian from some Evangelical missionaries trying to set up yet another sect in Bangalore. Thought they had more sense than others. But in the end, the agenda is always the same and smiling faces mask it. Religion is the agenda. Hung around with these guys for two years, but in the end the cloth must tear.
There’s always a point when they shove doctrine and dogma and rules and regulations down the throat and have no real listening ear and want you to shut up or parrot them endlessly.
Shape up or ship out was the message. Been there before.
The only way to prove that one is a follower of the Moshiach to such people would be to toe ‘their’ Evangelical ideological line. That would make it impossible to follow the Moshiach. That disturbs them, because they believe in uniformity and homogeneity and control and power, of the colonial sort. So, well, goodbye.

(Some insights from the Gospel of Mark, Chapter 4)
It is not possible to determine who will be saved and who will not be saved.
There is the Sower. The Seed is scattered randomly across, figuratively speaking, four types of soil or fields or grounds.
The Seed flourishes only in one soil and dies in the three other soils. This is a NATURAL process yet a MYSTERIOUS process.
Soil cannot fertilise itself or turn itself from being rocky to fertile by choice. The Seed falls everywhere; only where there is fertile soil does it come up into fruition.
The soils are not conscious. The soils have no volition of their own. The soils just are.
The Sower and the Seed contain LIFE or POSSIBILITY OF LIFE.
The soils might or might not contain the conditions for life to emerge (fertility).
The Parable of the Sower does not explain how one type of soil had the right conditions and the other three did not have it. Since soils are not conscious, they cannot be blamed for their condition. Nor can Nature be blamed, I suppose. Because, in Nature’s process, rocky soil can over hundreds of years slowly transform into fertile soil.
What about the Sower? Did He create these soils to be what they are? He left some soils unworked on, perhaps, and one soil was prepared, like a piece of ploughed land? Who is to say the Sower is not working on the other three soils? The last shall be first perhaps.
Therefore, there is no condemnation for any of the soils, although apparently there are possibilities for life and growth in all conditions. Cactii can grow in hostile conditions. Dry or barren soil or field or ground cannot be despised as having no possibilities of life hidden therein.
What one learns is that, the Seed of LIFE faces more than its share of hostility. The hostility to the potential to LIFE in three soils remains a Mystery.
Then, whatever the condition of the soils, it is the Sower who has the Seed of Life. Without the sowing and the seed falling into soils, there can be no possibility of LIFE arising out of the soils. And the sowing is always there, the seeds of Life are always there.
The Parable says the Seed fell upon and sprang forth to fruition in multiple quantities or ways. This too is not the soil’s achievement. The soil is. The levels of fertility are. The Seed sprang up, the conditions having been put in place in the soil without the soil’s knowledge or understanding.
When conditions and possibility came together through the Sower and the Seed, Life and Fruit appear, magically.
It’s a Mystery and a Miracle.
That is why the Sower, the Moshiach, says:
Mark 4: 26 And he said, “The Kingdom of God is like a man who scatters seed on the ground. 27 Nights he sleeps, days he’s awake; and meanwhile the seeds sprout and grow — how, he doesn’t know. 28 By itself the soil produces a crop — first the stalk, then the head, and finally the full grain in the head. 29 But as soon as the crop is ready, the man comes with his sickle, because it’s harvest-time.”
And this is strange, indeed.
Even the Sower (the Man) who scatters the Seed does not know how the Seed sprouts and grows. Something happens in the soil and the Seed grows into the full grain.
The soil also does not know how this happens. However, when it has happened, the Sower (the Man) who scattered the Seed can come in and reap the harvest. And the Man is happy that the soil yielded a harvest.
The Moshiach is speaking of the Mystery of Life in a multiplex universe and how Life survives by Miracle in spite of the odds stacked against it.
Stay in the awe of the Mystery and the Miracle of Life.
There is no need to be confounded by Reasonings, Science and especially the cogitations of those who turn the Mystery/Miracle of Life into Religion.
Remain in the awe of the Mystery and the Miracle of Life.
Perhaps, then, the Seed of LIFE will sprout without Religion or Reason.

There are no universes other than those that indwell the Human Being.
All the human beings that ever have been, are or will be, are One Human Being.
All the gods and demons dwell inside this One Human Being.
Few are conscious of this.
At times, the gods arise from the unconscious to claim their devotees..
The demons surface to claim their victims.
But both gods and demons surrender before the Effulgent One who dwells in the Centre of the Human Being.
When He arises as the Sun of Righteousness with Healing in His Wings, all the gods and demons are swallowed up in His limitless light.
He is the Light of Lights.
God is Light and in Him dwells no darkness.
Presence consumes Absence.
Shechinah fills the Void.
The Spirit of G-d, or G-d who is Spirit, is the Centre of all human beings who are part of the One Human Being.
He is known as the Word.
He is venerated as Father.
He is Wisdom.
Humans, gods, angels, demons, all beings and all things all bow down to the Triune Effulgent One.
The Centre radiates Shechinah.
Nothing exists outside Shechinah.
If any human being thinks that one is far away from Shechinah or separated from Shechinah, he needs Teshuvah.
Teshuvah is ‘Return’. Return to the Centre. Travel back on a sunbeam into the heart of the Sun.
Teshuvah is return to the original state.
Teshuvah in Hebrew may be read “tashuv hey,” literally “returning the letter Hey.” The last letter Hey of the Tetragrammeton refers to Malchut (the Kingdom Within).
Malchut is synonymous with Shechinah, which is how G‑d manifests Himself as a sovereign within the creation.
The Hebrew word for Jerusalem, the holy capital, is Yerushalayim. This word is in a composite of two words: Yirah Shalem, meaning “a perfect state of awe.”
This perfect state of awe is the inheritance of human beings. To gain this inheritance, one must do Teshuvah.
“He is within the very heart, yet hath the heart wandered from Him. Return to your heart, O ye transgressors, and cleave fast unto Him that made you. Stand with Him and you shall stand fast. Rest in Him and you shall be at rest.” St Augustin (Confessions)
Psalm 90: 3 You bring frail mortals to the point of being crushed,
then say, “People, repent (RETURN)!” (Thou turnest enosh to dakka (dust); and sayest, Shuvu, ye Bnei Adam.)

My landlady lost her husband in an accident last night. Been at the traffic cop station, then they went to hospital for post mortem and body being taken to Hosur.
Death strikes suddenly and few are ready for it. Death singles out humans and their families, narrows our vision and accentuates our sorrows.
I looked around and suddenly saw that the failure of Death lies in that it cannot overcome Life. All around us and beyond our sorrows, Life is living itself out.
Life teems everywhere and Death cannot overcome Life.
Those who have died have transitioned elsewhere, the body returns to the dust and the breath to wherever it came from.
Life reigns. Death is just a punctuation mark.
Therefore LIVE and laugh at the inefficacy and impotence of Death.
Therefore, it is written in 1 Corinthians 15:
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Whoever is with and in the Lord of Life shall laugh at Death and its puny antics in the world of human beings.

Is being a branch in the Tree of Life gained by striving for it or is it granted?
It is granted.
How does it work?
The human being is portrayed as a wild branch integrated by G-d the Gardener into the True Vine, Yeshua.
Yeshua is the Root of the Tree of Life into which this wild branch has been grafted. The sap of the Holy Spirit flows from the Root into the branch. It sprouts leaves. It has flowers. It grows fruit.
The grafting and nurturing into fruitfulness is done by G-d and Yeshua. The Gardener steps in sometimes to prune the branch. He might even cut off the branch.
All this is a natural process in which the branch has no say at all.
If a branch is allowed to grow to be fruitful, it does not reflect on its own power and capabilities but on that of the Gardener and the Root, the True Vine.
If a branch is cut off or withers, that too is the doing of the Gardener and the Root.
Branches are helpless and at the mercy of the Gardener and the Root.
Whether you are allowed to be fruitful or are cut off, it is the will of the Gardener and the Root.
The branch does not pray or strive to remain in the Vine. It is the responsibility of the Gardener and the True Vine to look after the branch or let it wither.
The branch has no say in the matter.
None of it comes from you or is of you.
Therefore, let it be. Be still.
